I strive to present the tranquil and intimate nature of the flora, fauna, and environments of our world. Through my art practice I want to guide the viewer to introspect and experience the consciousness of nature. I enjoy working in various tactile processes such as printmaking, ceramics, drawing, painting, crocheting, and digital illustration. My body of work also utilizes found objects in nature either as references or as direct materials to be elevated and held dear to me. The focus of my work is often themes such as details hidden in plain sight, natural cycles of change, mathematical presence in repeated forms and patterns, and the fragile and fleeting nature of life. I enjoy experimenting with combining multiple mediums in order to best express these themes. I believe that being more conscientious and communicative in these ways is an important part of understanding ourselves and how we influence the world around us.In recent years, I have been exploring more ways to make my art accessible to people through pattern making and home goods. I have always been delighted to see the beauty of nature expressed in everyday objects that reach a wide audience. Through the creation of objects such as prints, stickers, patterned fabrics, small scale sculptures, and more, I hope to make these interpretations of nature more prolific in the world.
